Day 1: Pick up-Entebbe Botanical Gardens
Upon your arrival, you will be picked from the Entebbe International Airport by our company driver guide for a transfer to your Hotel. For early arrivals, embark on birding adventure in the Entebbe Botanical Gardens were you will be rewarded with sightings of various bird life i.e the Golden Backed, Northern Brown Throated, Grosbeak, Baglafect ,and raptors. After, you will transfer for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Lake Victoria Serena, Lake Heights Hotel, Airport View Guesthouse.
Day 2: Transfer-Murchison Falls National Park
Wake up have breakfast then transfer to Murchison Falls National Park along the Kampala Gulu Highway for a period of 5-6 hours and when you reach the park, you will transfer to the Top of Murchison Falls. You will have beautiful views of the gushing waterfalls, rainbow descending deep into the falls, birds and beautiful vegetation terrain.
You will also see the Victoria Nile gushing through a narrow gorge of about 150 feet down . After the experience, you will transfer to your lodge/ hotel for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Paraa safari Lodge, Pakuba Safari Lodge, Chobe Safari Lodge.
Day 3: Game Drive-Boat Cruise in Murchison Falls National Park
Wake up have breakfast then transfer to experience a Game Drive along the various tracks in the park watching various wildlife animals wandering around the park. These include; the Uganda kob, Jackson’s hartebeest, water buck, baboon, oribi, elephant, Giraffe, Buffalo, Hippos, etc.
You will break off for lunch then later afterwards, you will transfer to the banks of the Victoria Nile to experience an afternoon Boat Cruise which begins at 2:30 pm. The Cruise will reward you scenic views of the bottom of the Falls, Birds, Crocodiles, Hipppos beneath the water. After the experience, return back to your lodge/ hotel for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Paraa safari Lodge, Pakuba Safari Lodge, Chobe Safari Lodge.
Day 4: Transfer-Semliki National Park
Today after your breakfast you will drive for a transfer to Semliki National Park where you will enjoy sightings of the beautiful scenery of the magnificent flora and fauna on your way. Semliki is the only park where you can enjoy a spotlight game drive in the night. You will enjoy a spot lit game drive that will reward you with sightings of the nocturnal wildlife. Possible sightings may include the nightjars. Dinner and Overnight at Semliki Safari Lodge, Kyaninga Lodge, Hotel Vanilla, UWA campsite.
Day 5: Birding in Semliki National Park
Wake up very early in the morning have breakfast then transfer to the green vegetation terrain in the park to watch birds due to the number of species in the park. These include; the spot breasted ibis, Red Thighed Sparrow Hawk, Crested francolin and Helmet Guinea fowl, Broad -billed Roller, Green Wood-hoopoe, African Moustached Warbler, Marsh Tchagra, Violet-backed, the rapacious Red-necked Falcon and the local Cabanis’s.
You can watch others in the night like the Flecked Nigh jar, Black Shoulder Nightjar, African Wood etc.Return back to your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight at Semliki Safari Lodge, Kyaninga Lodge, Hotel Vanilla, UWA campsite
Day 6: Transfer-Kibale Forest National Park
Today after your breakfast you will depart from the park and drive off to Kibale Forest National park. This park is known to be the most accessible with its diverse primate the chimps. Upon your arrival in the park take a forest walk that will take you a round the Bunyaruguru crater region and expose you to some of the park habitat species. Dinner and overnight at Primate’s lodge Kibale, Kibale Forest Camp.
Day 7: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest National Park
Head to the park headquarters after your break fast for a briefing session about the chimpanzee tracking code of conduct from a UWA official and thereafter our guide will take you through the adventurous experience of chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest with your packed lunch. Besides you may spot other primates in the process like the monkey’s white and black colobus, red colobus, and red tailed colobus among others. After your lunch take a guided nature walk in Bigodi wetland and view the habitant species especially the diverse bird life. Dinner and overnight at Primate’s lodge Kibale, Kibale Forest Camp.
Day 8: Transfer-Queen Elizabeth National Park
Today after your breakfast leave Kibale Forest National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park with en-route lunch along the way. When you reach the park, you will experience a game drive in the crater lakes region and various tracks watching wildlife animals wandering around like the lions, leopards, buffalo, Uganda Kob, and the rare aquatic sitatunga antelope. Return to your lodge/ Hotel for Relaxation, Dinner and Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge, Jacana safari lodge, Buffalo Safari Lodge.
Day 9: Game Drives & Launch Cruise in Queen Elizabeth
Wake up have breakfast then transfer to experience a morning to Mid Day Game Drive around the park then later you will break off for lunch and afterwards, proceed towards the prominent Kazinga Channel where you will take on a boat cruise that will reward you beautiful sightings of crocodiles, schools of Hippos beneath the water. After the cruise, you will return back to your lodge/ hotel for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Mweya Safari Lodge, Jacana safari lodge, Buffalo Safari Lodge.
Day 10: Transfer-Bwindi Forest National Park
Wake up have breakfast then transfer through Queen Elizabeth National park via the popular Ishasha Sector where by chance, you mightt spot the tree climbing lions relaxed in the fig tree branches. You will proceed on your journey with stunning views at the Rwenzori Moutains in a distance then later on after hours of driving, you will reach Bwindi Forest national park and transfer to your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Buhoma Lodge, Buhoma Rest Camp, Gorilla Forest Camp.
Day 11: Gorilla Trekking-Bwindi Forest National Park
Wake Up have breakfast then transfer to the headquarters to be briefed on the Dos and Don'ts around the Mountain Gorillas then later in groups of 8 with a skilled ranger guide, you will transfer to penetrate the forest to track the rare species of Gorillas in their natural vegetation habitat.
You will track them for 3-5 hours and when you meet them, only an hour is allowed to stay in the presence taking photos to keep for memories. After trekking, you will transfer back to your lodge/ hotel for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Buhoma Lodge, Buhoma Rest Camp, Gorilla Forest Camp.
Day 12: Transfer-Lake Bunyonyi
Today after your break fast depart from Bwindi Forest National Park and drive to the magnificent Lake Bunyonyi extending northwards from the Rwanda Border through the contours of the steep hills that separate Kabale from Kisoro. This is also referred to as the Bird haven and a prominent destination for bird watchers. Take a canoe trip that will reward you with spectacular views of the beautiful sunset. Retire for dinner and overnight at Arcadia cottages, Lake Bunyonyi Overland
Day 13: Ruvuma Swamp
This morning after your break fast take pleasure in a ride to the northern tip of Bunyonyi. You will be rewarded with sightings of the vast papyrus expanses of the Ruvuma Swamp. You may also spot a variety of birds endemic to this habitat like the papyrus gonolek, papyrus canary and papyrus yellow warbler among other bird species.
In the later hours of the day transfer to Lake Mburo National park where you may spot animals like the beautiful impalas, cape buffalos, zebras, oribis, elands and topi and many more on a game drive upon your entry. Dinner and overnight at Mihingo Lodge, Mburo Safari Lodge, Rwakobo Rock lodge.
Day 14: Game Drive & Birding in Lake Mburo National Park
Wake up have breakfast and transfer for your game drive along the various tracks in the park and you will spot wildlife animals wandering around like the elands, oribi, zebras, cape buffalo, Impala cetc as well as birds flying from one point to another within their natural vegetation habitat. These include; the Papyrus gonolek, Brown-faced lapwings, Carruthers cisticolas, White winged Warbler and Bare-faced Go-away bird etc. After, return to your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Mihingo Lodge, Mburo Safari Lodge, Rwakobo Rock Lodge.
Day 15: Transfer-Kampala
This morning you will have the privilege to go for a guided nature walk one of it’s kind in all Uganda’s park on foot. This will walk to the salt lick area where there is a blind observatory animal that can allow you to see more than four different animal species licking salt from the salty soils. Thereafter drive back to Kampala with an enroute lunch. Dinner and overnight at Sheraton Hotel, Serena Hotel Kampala, Hotel Africana, Cassia Lodge Buziga.
Day 16: Transfer-Mbale
Wake up have breakfast then transfer to Mbale town to explore and visit Sipi Falls where you willl hike to the three different waterfalls. You will spot various birds species as well as small mammals wander and enjoy their natural vegetation habitat to the fullest. You will return back to your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight at Sipi River Lodge, Moses's Campsite, Mbale Resort Hotel.
Day 17: Departure
In the morning after your breakfast take pleasure in a nature walk to the base of the falls as you feel the morning breeze. Later visit the Historical Nyero Rock paintings. Thereafter drive back to Kampala with an en-route lunch stopover as you enjoy sightings of the enroute flora and fauna of the Eastern part of the Pearl of Africa.
