Gorilla Trekking

Gorilla Trekking in Uganda is a very exciting Safari Adventure to carry out by all travelers from all over the world interested in watching and trekking the Mountain Gorillas in their natural forest vegetation habitat. Mountain Gorillas are huge Primates that inhabit the thick green forest vegetation habitats around Uganda in Bwindi Forest National Park and Mgahinga National Park located South West of Uganda.

The Gorilla Trekking Process requires you to transfer to the Park headquarters where you are briefed on the Dos and Don’ts around the Mountain Gorillas then later in groups of 8 with a skilled Park ranger guide, penetrate the forest to track the Gorillas for a period of 3-5 hours and when you meet them, only an hour is allowed to stay in their presence for 1 hour taking photos to keep for memories. You Must transfer with a valid Gorilla trekking permit at US $600 and will be US $700 from July 2020 and in the Low season these cost US $450.

Chimpanzee Tracking

Chimpanzee Tracking is also an exciting safari Adventure to take on while on Tour and this occurs in Kibale Forest National Park located West of Uganda. The Forest is prominently known to offer Chimpanzee Tracking which involves transferring to the starting point whee you leave from in groups with a skilled park ranger to penetrate into the forest to track the Chimpanzees for 2-4 hours and when you meet them only an hour is allowed to stay in their presence taking many photos to keep for memories.

Other than Chimpanzee Tracking, traveler can also enjoy Chimpanzee Habituation Experience an adventure that takes the whole day from the time the Chimpanzees wake up until the time they build new nests to spend the night. You follow the Chimpanzees through out their daily activities as they breast feed, patrol, forage, play, communicate, copulate etc.

The Chimpanzee tracking permit in Uganda costs US $200 and US $250 for habituation experience per person in Uganda’s Kbale Forest National Park.
