Detailed Itinerary of the 6 Days (Best) Luxury Chimpanzee & Gorilla Tour

Day 1: Arrival and Pick Up

On arrival at the Entebbe International Airport, you are welcomed and picked up by a company driver guide who transfers you on a City Tour around Kampala City visiting the Uganda Museum, Kasubi Tombs, Cathedrals, Uganda Martyr’s Shrine Namugongo etc. After your city tour, transfer to check-in your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Cassia Lodge Buziga, Serena Hotel Kampala, Excellent Hotel.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Wake up have breakfast then with your luggage, transfer to Kibale Forest National Park a journey of 6-7 hours with beautiful en-route views then later you reach the Park and proceed to check-in your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Primates lodge Kibale, Chimp’s Nest, Chimpanzee View Guest House.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest National Park

Wake up have breakfast then transfer to the park headquarters for briefing from a UWA official about the Dos and Don’ts around the Chimpanzees then in groups of 8 with a skilled park ranger guide, penetrate the forest to track the Chimpanzees for 2-4 hours and when you meet them, take various photos to keep for memories. En-route, watch other primates along the trails and these include; the blue monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, red-colobus monkeys. After, break off for lunch then proceed on a guided nature walk to Bigodi Wetland Swamp where you watch various bird species. Primates lodge Kibale, Chimpanzee Guest house, Chimp’s Nest.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park

Wake up have breakfast then transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park a journey that takes you 4-5 hours with en-route views of the green terrain and birds. After a while driving, you reach the Park and check-in your lodge/ hotel for Relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Gorilla Resort,  Silverbacks lodge, Lake Kitandara.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest National Park

Wake Up have breakfast then proceed to the Park headquarters for briefing on the Dos and Don’ts around the Mountain Gorillas and later in groups of 8 with an experienced park ranger guide penetrate the forest to track the Gorillas for 3-5 hours and when you meet them, only an hour is allowed in their presence taking numerous photos to keep for  memories. After trekking the Gorillas, proceed back to your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Gorilla resort, Silverbacks lodge, Lake Kitandara.

Day 6: Departure to Kampala

Wake up have breakfast then with your luggage, transfer to Kampala or the Entebbe International Airport to board your flight back home.
