Detailed Itinerary of the 6 Days Uganda Honeymoon Safari

Day 1: Kigali & City Tour

Today you drop at the Kigali International Airport, transfer around Kigali City visiting the genocide memorials, and national museums where you learn about the tragic genocide in which many lost lives and friends.

Have lunch, then later transfer back on your safari around the city. Return to lodge/ hotel for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Hotel Chezlando.

Day 2: Transfer to Mgahinga National Park

Have breakfast then embark on your journey traversing the border to Kisoro where you have lunch then transfer to Mgahinga National Park to track the rare species of Mountain Gorillas. Proceed straight to your lodge/ hotel for relaxation, dinner and Overnight. Ikoro Lodge.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking & Guided Nature Walk

Today get up early in the morning on your Uganda honeymoon safari, have breakfast then transfer to the headquarters of the park. Be briefed on the conduct around the rare species of Mountain Gorillas in their natural vegetation habitat.

Proceed to the forest in groups of 8 with an experienced guide and search for the Mountain Gorillas for 3–5 hours and when you meet them, only an hour is allowed to stay in their presence.

After Gorilla trekking, transfer on a guided nature walk around the forest and nearby communities and later, continue to your lodge/ hotel for relaxation, dinner and overnight. Ikoro Lodge.

Day 4: Golden Monkey Tracking and Community Walk

Have breakfast then transfer to go tracking the rare Golden Monkeys in their natural habitat. With an experienced guide, transfer along various trails in the forest. Watch the rare Golden Monkeys jump from one tree to another excitedly, as well as various brilliant bird species in the forest.

Have lunch, then later transfer on a guided nature walk around the nearby communities, an opportunity that gives you an insight into their local lives. Return to lodge/ hotel for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Ikoro Lodge.

Day 5: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

On this Day have breakfast and transfer to the stunning Lake Bunyonyi South West of Uganda. Have lunch then after, transfer for a canoe ride along the lake. Have beautiful views of the vegetation, birds and islands at a distance. After go back to the lodge/ hotel for relaxation, dinner and Overnight. Bunyonyi Overland Resort.

Day 6: Departure to Kigali

Have breakfast then, with your luggage, depart to Kigali International Airport to board a flight back home.
