Detailed Itinerary of the 8 Days Uganda Wildlife & Chimps Tour
Day 1: Arrival and Pick Up
On arrival at the Entebbe International Airport, you are picked up by our company driver who will transfer you to your hotel in Kampala for Dinner and an Overnight stay at the Sheraton Hotel Kampala
Day 2: Transfer to Ngamba Island
Wake up have breakfast then transfer to Lake Victoria to Ngamba Island home of over 40 orphaned chimpanzees. Enjoy the spectacular distant scenery of the neighbouring islands as you ride to Ngamba. The bird life on the island is no miss out for birders. Feed and Engage in the infant integration experience of the chimpanzees on the Island or take a forest walk and encounter interactive primates on the island. Di—dinner Overnight at Ngamba Island Tented Camp.
Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After your breakfast, leave the island for Kibale Forest National Park the most accessible rainforest in Uganda. The journey takes you through the stunning scenery of Fort Portal. Enjoy the wonderful background view of the Rwenzori Mountains of the moon. Dinner and Overnight at Primates Lodge Kibale.
Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest
Wake up early have breakfast then transfer to the Park headquarters for a briefing session about tracking the Chimpanzees then later in groups of 8 with a skilled park ranger guide, proceed to the Forest to track the Chimpanzees for 2-4 hours, when you meet them, take many photos to keep for memories about your adventure. En route, watch other primates like the L’Hoest’ monkeys, red colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys and the grey-cheeked mangabeys etc. return to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Day 5: Transfer to Semliki National Park
After your breakfast enjoy a game drive in the jungle that hosts a variety of bird species with exceptional primates which may include black-and-white colobus, De Brazza’s monkey, vervet monkey, red-tailed monkey, grey-cheeked mangabey, olive baboons and blue monkeys. After the adventure, proceed to the Sempaya Hot Springs through the loveliest tracts of the Semliki forest will reward you with clear views into the forest canopy to spot monkeys and birds. Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Wake up have breakfast then transfer on a Game drive around the Crater Region in Queen Elizabeth National Park where you watch wildlife animals like lions, buffalos, leopards, antelopes hyenas etc. After the break, off for lunch then proceed to the Mweya peninsular where you view the Kasenyi plains with various wildlife animals. After transfer to your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight at Jacana Safari Lodge.
Day 7: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kyambura Gorge
Wake up have breakfast then experience tracking of the chimpanzees in the gorge after a briefing from the park headquarters about the tracking code of conduct.
After your lunch take a game-viewing launch cruise along the Kazinga channel with sightings of marvellous wildlife including the Nile crocodile, hippos buffalos and a few crocodiles. Dinner and overnight at Jacana Safari Lodge.
Day 8: Departure to Kampala
Wake up have breakfast then transfer via the Ishasha Sector in Queen Elizabeth National Park to Kampala or the Entebbe International Airport to board your flight back home.
