We give you opportunities to go birding in Uganda’s top birding destinations. For the ardent bird watcher, Uganda is a must-visit destination.  Albertine rift endemics occur in big numbers and are most easily sighted in Semliki national park, Bundibugyo district. A canoe ride on lake Albert in the Mabamba Swamp will expose you to a number of aquatic and Swamp dwellers.
Launch trips on the Kazinga channel in Queen Elizabeth national park will give you sightings of a number of waders, raptors and almost every water bird in Uganda.
Other worthwhile cruises include trips on the Nile in Murchison falls national park. Feast your eyes on birdlife rarities on the papyrus banks like the shoe bill, African fish eagle, goliath heron, piapiac, rock pranticole, black headed Gonolek, black winged red bishop, yellow backed weaver and many more.
Boat rides on Lake Mburo also offer excellent sightings of pied kingfisher, egrets herons, Narina trognon and if you are lucky the occasional shoe bill.
