We give you opportunities to go bird watching in Uganda’s top birding destinations. For the ardent bird watcher, Uganda is a must-visit destination.  Albertine rift endemics occur in big numbers and are most easily sighted in Semliki National Park, Bundibugyo district. A canoe ride on Lake Albert in the Mabamba Swamp will expose you to several aquatic and Swamp dwellers.
Launch trips on the Kazinga channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park will give you sightings of several waders, raptors and almost every water bird in Uganda.
Other worthwhile cruises include trips on the Nile in Murchison Falls National Park. Feast your eyes on birdlife rarities on the papyrus banks like the shoe bill, African fish eagle, goliath heron, piapiac, rock pranticole, black-headed Gonolek, black-winged red bishop, yellow-backed weaver and many more.
Boat rides on Lake Mburo also offer excellent sightings of pied kingfisher, egret herons, Narina trognon and if you are lucky the occasional shoe bill.
