Mountain Elgon National Park is an extinct Volcano and one of Africa’s Highest Mountains located in the Eastern Part of Uganda between two different borders i.e Uganda and Kenya.

Location of Mountain Elgon National Park

Mountain Elgon National Park is located 140 kms (87 mi) North East of Lake Victoria between two borders i.e the Ugandan and Kenyan and a relevant water catchment area of River Nzoia that flows to Lake Victoria and River Turkwel which flows to Lake Turkana.

How to get to mountain Elgon National Park

Mountain Elgon National Park can be accessed by road as you transfer from Kampala/ Entebbe International Airport Via Jinja Town to Mbale then to the Western Base of Mountain Elgon before proceeding to Kapchorwa on the Mountain’s North Western edge.
