Day 1: Kigali Airport to Volcanoes National Park

Detailed Itinerary of the 5 Days Rwanda Volcanoes & Mgahinga Gorilla Safari

Day 1: Kigali Airport to Volcanoes National Park

When you drop at the Kigali International Airport meet our company driver guide then transfer on City Tour around Kigali City then later continue to the stunning Volcanoes National Park in Ruhengeri District. When you reach the park, check-in at the lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Ingagi Volcanoes Park View Lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla Trek in Volcanoes National Park

Today get very early have breakfast then with your valid Gorilla Trekking Permit, go to the park headquarters for a short briefing about the Mountain Gorillas. After the briefing, you are allocated into groups of 8 by a very skilled park ranger then after with a ranger leading the groups enter the green forest vegetation to trek the Gorillas for 3-5 hours and when you meet them, an hour is allowed in their presence e taking numerous photos to keep.

When done with Gorilla Trekking, return to your lodge to watch the five volcanoes at a distance and when you get here have Dinner and Overnight. Ingagi Volcanoes Park View Lodge.

Day 3: Mgahinga National Park

Today have breakfast and embark to traverse the Uganda-Rwanda border to the stunning Mgahinga National Park. En route have lunch then continue to the park, check in the lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Ikoro Lodge.

Day 4: Gorilla Trek at Mgahinga National Park

On this Day have early tea then with some packed lunch, continue to the headquarters to be briefed on the code of conduct around the Mountain Gorillas. You are allocated in groups of 8 with a park ranger depending on your physical fitness, strengths and weaknesses, then later you enter the forest to trek the mighty Mountain Gorillas in their habitat for 3- 5 hours

When you find them, take numerous photos to keep for memories about your Gorilla Trekking Adventure at Mgahinga National Park. Return to your lodge after the trekking for Dinner and Overnight. Ikoro Lodge.

Day 5: Departure to Kigali 

Have your delicious breakfast then with all your luggage, depart to Kampala or Entebbe for a flight back home.
