Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick Up and Transfer to Entebbe Botanical Gardens

On arrival at the Entebbe International Airport, you are picked up by our company driver guide who transfers you to the Entebbe Botanical Gardens to watch various species of birds i.e Crested shrike flycatcher, Lead colored, Swamp flycatcher, African paradise Red bellied besides the weavers that include the rare Northern Masked Weaver, Black Necked, Golden Backed, Northern Brown Throated, Grosbeak, Baglafect ,and  raptors such as the Gabar Goshawk, small banded snake Eagle, Shikra, African Goshawk, African Fish Eagle, African Hobby etc. After the experience, you will transfer to your lodge/ hotel for relaxation, Dinner and overnight. Day 2: Transfer to Kampala

Wake up have breakfast then transfer to Kampala with en-route stop overs for food and snacks. Reach the City and visit the Kigungu landing site, Muzinga square, Zamugula site and the magnificent Bemba cave in Ziika ecotourism forest site as well as the Kasubi Tombs, Naggalabi Coronation Site and the Wamala Tombs as well as the Katereke Prison Ditch. After the exploration, you will transfer to your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Sheraton Hotel Kampala, Serena Hotel Kampala, Cassia Lodge Buziga.

Day 3: City Tour and Visit Uganda Museum 

Buganda Safari TourWake up have breakfast then transfer to experience a City Tour around Uganda’s Cultural Sites like the Uganda Museum where you will spot ethnographic artifacts and the Bahai Temple, Namugongo Martry’s Shrine, Namirembe Cathedral, Rubaga Cathedral and the Kampala Hindu Temple. Day 4: Transfer to Hoima

Wake up for a transfer to the land of the peaceful. You will be picked from your Hotel after your breakfast and drive off to Hoima via Kiboga. On this trip you will visit the Karuzika palace of the Bunyoro Kingdom which will expose you to their historical cultural heritages. Day 5: In Bunyoro

Adventure further in to the Bunyoro Kingdom. After your breakfast, drive to the royal burial grounds of the kingdom at Mparu Tombs. You will get exposure about the ancient kings and the ancestral descendants of the kingdom. Enjoy entertainment from the natives of the area through their cultural dancers among other activities. Day 6: Transfer to Fortportal

Today after your breakfast drive off from Hoima town for Fortportal. You will have splendorous enroute sightings with a rewarding flora stopover at Mukwano tea estate. A visit to Nyakasura will further expose you to the history of the natives. Transfer for dinner and overnight at Mountains of the moon hotel

Day 7: In Toro Kingdom                

Adventure in to the Toro culture with a visit to the Kingdom palace after your breakfast and get exposed to the historical heritages of the kingdoms with further exposure; visit the royal burial grounds at the Karambi royal tombs. After your lunch embark on a superlative adventure of the magnificent crater lakes in the region. At the end of the day you will be rewarded with sightings of the sumptuousness Toro attractions. Day 8: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After your morning coffee, get ready for a Game Drive  in Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will watch various wildlife animal species like elephants, buffalos, Giant Forest Hog, lion and perhaps also the leopard as well as bird species like the Blackrumped Buttonqual, African Skimmer, Shoebill, White Naped Pigeon, Forest Flycatcher, Rwenzori Turaco, Chapin’s Flycatcher, Pink Backed Pelicans, Verreaux’s Eagle Owl among others. Dinner and overnight at Jacana Lodge, Tembo Safari Lodge, Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day 9: Chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge

Wake up have breakfast then transfer to track the chimpanzees in the Kyambura Gorge and you will go to the Park headquarters for briefing on the Dos and Don’ts around the Chimpanzees. After the briefing session, transfer with a skilled park ranger guide to track the Chimpanzees for 3- 5 hours depending on the current location of the Chimpanzees in their natural vegetation habitat. On meeting them take numerous photos to keep for memories. After the experience, return back to your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Jacana Lodge, Tembo Safari Lodge, Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day 10: Game Drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Wake up have breakfast then transfer on a Game Drive watching animals like lions, buffalos, elephants, Uganda Kob etc then later break off for lunch at your lodge/ hotel and relax. In the evening, embark on a guided community walk to learn more about the lives of the local people then later, proceed back to you lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Day 11: Transfer to Kabale

Today after an early breakfast drive off to mythical Switzerland of Africa via Kanungu. The drive will reward you with an exploration of the Kibwetere religious site en-route. After your lunch, get on for a cultural rewarding sighting in the Kabale Museum. Expect to see the cultural archaeologies on the resident culture in the area “Bakiga”. You will further visit the Rushoroza and Rugarama Cathedrals that will give you an insight of the ancient missionary visit in the area.Dinner and overnight at Arcadia cottages.

Day 12: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

This morning, wake up for an early drive to the dammed lake surrounded by splendorous countless hills. Expect to be rewarded with sightings of the bird life in this haven. Upon your arrival an interaction with Edirisa community development organization will give you an insight of the community way of life and practices. You may get a chance of interacting with the community members for the true experience of the Bakiga culture. Drive off to Mbarara for dinner and overnight at White Horse Inn, Bunyonyi Overland Resort.

Day 13: In Mbarara

After a yummy breakfast expect to explore the culture in Mbarara. You will visit the Palace of the Ankole Kingdom that will expose you to the historical cultural ornaments and reward you with an insight in to the Ankole culture. Expect to see the long horned cows that are dominants in the region and you may get a chance of digging in to the Bahima culture who are renowned cattle keepers. Transfer for dinner and overnight at White Horse Inn

Day 14: Transfer to Kampala

You will depart the western region of Uganda and drive back to the capital Kampala.Enjoy enroute sightings of the splendorous flora and fauna where you may be rewarded with sightings of the Royal drum makers with an en-route stopover at Mpambire.  You will have your lunch en-route.  Proceed to Ndere Centre for break taking culture experience, you will be entertained with different cultural dances from various cultures across Uganda and you may get a chance of personally participating in the traditional dances. Retire for dinner at the centre and proceed for an over night stay at Sheraton Hotel

Day 15: Departure

Wake up have breakfast then embark on souvenir shopping in the Kampala’s cultural shopping centers. Depending on your departure flight time, transfer to Entebbe International Airport to board your flight back home.
