The 3-days fly-in gorilla-tracking safari takes you by flight from Entebbe to Bwindi. You may cut down on your travel time by choosing the fly-in gorilla safari option, since it takes just 1 hour and 45 minutes as opposed to more than 9 hours by car. This vacation begins in Entebbe and includes transportation to Bwindi, where you will stay for three days. Gorilla tracking, a once-in-a-lifetime event when visiting Uganda, will be done on the second day and on day three, u will fly back to Entebbe international airport or Kajjansi Airstrip.

Detailed Itinerary of the 3 Days Fly-in (Uganda) Bwindi Gorilla Safari

Day 1: Bwindi Forest National Park

You will be picked up by our driver (guide) and taken to Entebbe International Airport or the Kajansi Airstrip to catch your journey to the west of Uganda.

The morning and afternoon flight schedules are available. When you confirm your trip, our travel agent will arrange your flights and provide you the specifics.

You will be met in Kihihi by our driver(guide).He will drive you to the luxurious resort(Buhoma community Bandas or Mahogany Springs Lodge) where you will spend the night and have dinner.

Travel duration includes a 1:45 flight and a 1.5-hour shuttle to your hotel.

3 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari (Bwindi 2021/22)Day 2: Gorilla Trekking at Bwindi Forest National Park

Go Gorilla Trekking today at Bwndi Forest National Park. Have early breakfast then transfer to park headquarters for briefing on conduct around the Mountain Gorillas. You are later allocated in to groups of 8 with a park ranger guide who later transfers you to enter the forest to trek the Mountain Gorillas.

Mountain gorillas and chimpanzees may both be observed in Bwindi Forest. It is the only forest in Africa with this distinction. Additionally, it is home to 360 birds, over 200 butterflies, and 5 other primates species. The gorillas you follow are members of one of nine family groups that have been accustomed to human presence and can bear it for a short time each day. Your tour guide will show gorilla activity remnants such as chewed bamboo shoots, nests, and feces. Before you find the gorilla family, your gorilla tracking will be an adventurous excursion through shrubs, bamboo, and wooded hills.

The tracking of the gorillas might take anything from 2 hours to 7 hours. Your party will be given a maximum of one hour with the gorillas after they have been found and in their presence you can take various photos to keep for memories.

After Gorilla Trekking, return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight at Buhoma community Bandas or Mahogany Springs Lodge.

Day 3: Return to Entebbe

Have breakfast then our driver guide will take you from the resort to Kihihi Airstrip so you can get an aircraft back to Kajjansi or Entebbe International Airport. Our other driver guide will meet you when you arrive in Entebbe and take you back to the hotel or to the airport in time for your departure.

  2. High Season is around June to September and around this period Gorilla Permits are Scarce.
  3. The Best Weather is around June to July and December to February as during these times there is less rainfall.
